With the recent U.S Capitol riots, Americans are beginning to prove that violence could become a more acceptable medium of combatting ‘the system’ and pushing to implement their own beliefs. This is a grave and utterly disturbing philosophy to hold, and it only causes more harm than good.
Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court of the United States is not an occasion to celebrate. Her nomination comes at a time when political polarization and partisanship is at an all time high in the US. Barrett’s political views and judicial history is unlikely to mitigate this. Instead, she could very well be one of the biggest threats to America’s ever-developing progress.

This incredible lack of empathy and sensibility may prove how little consideration major media institutions truly have for issues of accessibility.

This blatant display of hypocrisy by activists during the short lifespan of CHOP has revealed serious issues with how the movement is being pursued along with lessons that can be learned from it.
