VOLUNTEER Analyst

As an Analyst you will be responsible for submitting engaging and well-researched op-eds of 750-1500 words on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or occasional basis on any of the following topics: Law, Economics, Science & Technology, Politics and/or Culture & Society. You are expected to commit to whichever schedule that you choose. Analysts are permitted to write on any issue/subject as long as it relates to current events and your angle on the topic has not already been covered by another article published in the magazine.

There will be a probationary period of 3 articles after which you will be officially added to the list of analysts on our website. You may apply for either the Junior or Senior Analyst Position.

* This position is remote and requires a reliable internet connection and the ability to write fluently in English

The successful applicant will have some or all of the following qualifications
Junior Analyst
Senior Analyst

• 1 to 5 years of experience in Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, Sciences, Law, or the STEM fields (Masters programs count as experience)
• An undergraduate degree or Masters
• Previous experience in writing for a non-profit, think tank or news outlet is desirable but not necessary
• Ability to write clearly and in an engaging manner
• Strong time management & organizational skills
• Able to commit to deadlines
• Experience in writing op-eds is desirable but not mandatory
• Passionate about freedom of speech and information




   

• 5+ years of professional experience in Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, Sciences, Law, or the STEM fields (Masters & PHD programs count as experience)
• An undergraduate degree, Masters or PHD
• Previous experience in writing for a non-profit, think tank, news outlet or other journalistic experience is desirable but not necessary
• Ability to write clearly and in an engaging manner
• Strong time management & organizational skills
• Able to commit to deadlines
• Experience in writing op-eds is desirable but not mandatory
• Passionate about freedom of speech and information
• A strong interest in Science & Tech, Law, Economics or the STEM fields
